How progressive is it to turn against classical liberalism?

It's a common error to not know the difference between intentions and results. Modern liberals are socialists, and think a sort of utopia is possible, but it requires methods are resemble fascism. That is, an all powerful government that will force everyone to share equally and so on. But using fascist methods can never result in anything other than fascism, which they don't understand.
