No, right after 911 Bic style lighters were banned. The tobacco companies had a meeting with Bush and now you are allowed two Bic style lighters on board. I flew three days after the Detroit airport shoe bomber attempt that used a lighter and was still able to carry my lighter on the plane. And I did not even have cigs. Why not have a bowl of matchbooks for smokers after you get off the plane? I am sure some cab company or airport restaurant would love to pay for them to put their logo on the books.
